Major International Internet Pharmacy Fraud Busted

Internet pharmacies have been a controversial item in the health world. While some pharmacists, (most notably in Canada), have said this is a legitimate business opportunity, others, (most notably the U.S. FDA), remain adamently opposed.

While Rainbow Investigations has stayed on the sidelines on this debate, we cannot help notice how, here in Canada, the debate has centered around the supply of drugs, and perhaps the ethics of internet pharmacies and the practice of pharmacy.

In Canada, fraud in a general sense, and health fraud in particular, are clearly growth areas. We have always felt this area continues to be missed by our current regulatory agencies. The real issue and risk of internet pharmacies is fraud in the sense of non-professional people selling the drugs, the drugs being sold are controlled drugs or narcotics, and buyers not being patients but instead being further distributors. What quality control exists for these drugs? Are these companies selling the drugs legitimate companies or are they operated in India by street people?
