Canadian Center For Weight Loss Ads in Calgary Sun
The Calgary Sun, in its June 5th, 2005 edition, has printed another very suspicious diet advertisement. This latest ad is by a Company calling itself the "Canadian Center For Weight Loss".
The product is called CiRen12, and according to the advertisement, consists of fenugreek, Vitamins A, B, and E, citrus aurantum, and rhodiola.
As per the usual script in Canadian diet fraud, the promotion goes to an 800 number, probably simply to take orders.
The address of the operation is on Sheppard Avenue in North York, just north of Toronto. What exactly is there, we don't know at the moment.
Interestingly, the company has a website www.ciren12.com, of which (surprise, surprise!) the domain is owned by people in Quebec.
The advertisement goes on to show 13 separate testamonials, 11 of which are women (any idea who they are trying to target?).
The advertisement goes on to say it has been supported by vague research, of which it does not explain.
If anyone in Canada has seen these ads in places OTHER than in Calgary, and if anybody has ordered a product from this company, we would like to hear from you, preferably by email.
