Toronto Suspended Physician Charged With Fraud

As readers of our news stories know, we are passionate about the growth of fraud and especially health fraud. Unqualified people providing treatments which they are not licensed or trained to do, often with little if any basis in science or medicine, is a huge growth area of fraud.

In this case, the Toronto Police have charged a physician with fraud. This physician was already suspended by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, but continued on, taking away thousands of dollars fom vulnerable victims.

As this area of crime continues to grow, we feel it is very important that our government start to show leadership here. Canadian governments have consistently taken the view that if there is no adverse effects from the treatment or the product, then it is a low priority.

Most consumers, with the loud exception of a few "freedom fighters", do not agree. Most consumers we hear want more information, more enforcement, and more action against blatant health fraud. THIS IS THE ISSUE!!
