Outrageous Smart Source Ads Continue...Maria Duval The Latest!

Smart Source has had a long history of printing scam based advertisements in promotional inserts placed in Canadian weekend newspapers. The inserts have recently been in the Sun chain of newspapers, (where have we heard this before?), but have appeared in other newspapers as well.

The ad in the most recent January 8th supplement to the Calgary Sun and other Canadian newspapers is one of the most outrageous fraudulent ads ever printed in Canada. This ad tells of a fraudulent fortune telling service by someone with a stage name of "Maria Duval", and of course leads to a Woodbridge, Ontario mailbox.

Many Canadians have been making their voices heard on this outrageous ad including the Windsor Police, and our colleaque, well known Canadian health fraud activist, Dr. Terry Polevoy. Rainbow Investigations has also complained directly to Smart Source and the Canadian Advertising Standards Council. We urge other Canadians to do the same.

The sad part of all this is that this type of fraudulent consumer advertising is still not enforced in any meaningful way in Canada, and some vulnerable Canadians will invariably fall for this ad.
