Rainbow Investigations is one of Calgary’s most distinctive, and most interesting private investigation firms. Concentrating on our brand of legal type files, we take on some of the most fascinating files that many other investigator agencies could only dream about!

Rainbow Investigations is planning on hiring a new p/time investigator for licensing with the Alberta Government Solicitor General’s Department in early 2009. We are willing to provide training throughout the remaining portion of 2008 to the successful candidate. While we anticipate this position will be part time initially, our business is clearly growing and there is a phenomenal opportunity here.

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

• Must be passionate about investigating and “finding the truth”, and a “go getter” personality type

• Must have a good sense of direction, and know Calgary and the surrounding area very well

• Should have a good understanding of camera equipment and video equipment, and their operation

• Should have access to a van, or some suitable vehicle for surveillance

• An understanding of law, particularly the civil litigation process, would be a huge asset

• An understanding of how to do legal research, court searches, and other legal background searches would also be beneficial

• A good business sense would also be a great asset

• Good computer skills in terms of internet searching, and the production of legal type documents would be beneficial

The PI business in Alberta tends to be very unpredictable in terms of the hours when work is required. However, Rainbow Investigations right now is particularly challenged with weekday daytime work. In this position, we anticipate most of the employment would be weekday daytime work.

We believe the work would entail some surveillance, some court house work, some administrative work and some other research type investigative work.

At the present time, we believe the work initially would take 2-3 days per week, but the business is clearly growing, and your availability may allow us to grow the business even faster.
